Southern China, Guangxi area...
North of Guilin...
Near Longsheng...
High up in the rice fields....
Pass the village of Ping An...
The Longi Rice Terraces unfold !
... the view was amazing...
And despite the freezing cold air...
it was one of those places where you can just stand and stare out at the view for hours... smiling for no reason!
Hi Chelsea, another TIC reader here -- I just felt like I had to comment on your photos... they are excellent! The one of the rice fields, when you click on the full size it takes your breath away! And the photo on the previous page of the man and woman washing vegetables (?) in the water -- such wonderful composition. I never would have thought to take the photo I don't believe but I'm sure glad you did. I could go on but I'll just say thanks for letting us have a peek at your adventure through your blog. You really should keep blogging, even when you get home!

The contrast between Pudong and Guangxi is mind blowing. Make like a sponge ... soak it all up.

I came to your blog from your Mother's. I went to that same village in China when I visited there in 2006. It was beautiful and weird and smelly and sooooo foreign. Did you see the bugs and lizards for sale in the market? Did you eat rice they cooked inside bamboo? Wonderful experiences. Enjoy!
ReplyDeletebreathtaking photos! like a dream.
